Когда-нибудь мы обязательно расскажем как родилось это название, а пока мы будем рассказывать на наших интернет-страницах про внедорожный тюнинг, про некоторые интересные проекты, соревнования, но самое главное про Jeep — марку полноприводных автомобилей которую мы искренне любим.

Jeep Wrangler JL 2018 и Мир Юрского Периода.

На днях FSA официально выпустил новый рекламный ролик Jeep Wrangler JL 2018, в котором снялись собственно Jeep, известный голливудский актер Джефф Голдблюм и… тиранозавр. Ожившее ископаемое животное не в первый гонится за Голдблюмом, который удирает от него на Jeep по джунглям: сюжет ролика и задействованные персонажи явно намекают на фильмы Парк Юрского Периода 1 и 2, и Мир Юрского Периода. В июне 2018 года анонсирована премьера четвертого фильма саги «Мир Юрского Периода 2», и нетрудно догадаться, что в этой части главные герои фильма, как и в самой первой части будут передвигаться на Jeep Wrangler.На этот раз на JL.

В самом первом фильме Парк Юрского Периода снятого Стивеном Спилбергом в 1993 году, многочисленные Jeep Wrangler поколения YJ были представлены в качестве автомобилей на которой по искусственным джунглям передвигались смотрители парка. А потом все они с разной степенью успеха, пытались удирать на этих машинах от вырвавшихся на свободу динозавров.

Именно эти кадры были использованы в первых секундах нового рекламного ролика Jeep Wrangler JL. Про YJ же создатели не вспоминали вплоть до выхода фильма Мир Юрского Периода, используя более «футуристические» Мерседесы ML и всяческую роботизированную технику. Единственным упоминанием стала сцена в третьем по счету фильме Мир Юрского Периода, где дети нашли «Йожик» в одной из заброшенных подстанций на территории старого парка.

И хотя основное внимание в этих фильмах было сосредоточено на людях и диковинных животных, тем не менее, Jeep Wrangler YJ стал практически лицом фильма и одним из самых популярных актеров, хорошо запомнившихся зрителям всех поколений. Именно Jurassic Jeep YJ можно встретить и на презентации очередной компьютерной игры по мотивам фильма, и в гаражах любителей строить реплики на знаменитые автомобили из кинофильмов и сериалов. Более того, считается что именно этот YJ из Юрского Парка, стал одним из самых популярных автомобилей по количеству созданных копий в США, в несколько сотен раз побив таких «монстров» кинематографа как Pontiac Trans Am из «Смоки и Бандит», Plymouth `Cuda из «Детектив Нэш Бриджес», и лишь немногим уступив репликам под Ford Mustang`97 GT500 Eleonor из ремейка «Угнать за 60 секунд». Конечно, отчасти такая популярность напрямую зависела и от популярности и доступности самой машины – все другие автомобили были родом из 60х и довольно таки редко встречающейся в 21 веке экзотикой. И если гнилой труп «Cuda» 69 года, было возможно путем титанических усилий загримировать под редкую 4х фарную версию кабриолета 74 года, то достать такую экзотику как DeLorean DMC-12 для создания реплики машины из «Назад в Будущее» практически нереально. Если конечно, у вас нет миллиона-другого долларов на подобные игрушки. Wrangler же выпускался огромными тиражами, да и вся переделка заключалась в установке лебедки Ramsey или Warn (в фильме на машинах стояли и те и другие), установке простенького лайт-бара и нехитрой перекраске в серый и красные цвета и изготовлении фальшивого номерного знака и логотипа парка.

И даже Lego выпустила машинку конструктор, в которой трудно не узнать знаменитого «Йожика».

Появление нового ролика почти однозначно говорит о том, что новый Jeep Wrangler JL появится в новом «Юрском Периоде». Автомобиль который нам показали в ролике, совершенно стандартный Rubicon 2018 модельного года серого цвета, без каких либо отличительных особенностей. Будут ли “Джип Рэнглеры» из фильма иметь какие-то отличительные особенности и уникальные элементы тюнинга, пока остается неизвестным. Мы надеемся, что будут. Тогда, возможно, новый Wrangler тоже смогут запомнить несколько поколений фанатов, и он станет так же знаменит как собственный «прадедушка» или Defender Лары Крофт из «Расхитительницы Гробниц 2». Ведь почти стандартный Jeep CJ7 Renegade Лары из первой части никто не помнит, как и множество других интересных машин из самых разных фильмов.

1993 Jeep Wrangler Sahara YJ/ «Парк Юрского периода» (1993)

Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition — это лимитированная серия джипов Wrangler, выполненная в песочном цвете, но для кино машины перекрасили в двухцветный вариант с логотипом Jurassic Park таким образом, что от оригинальной окраски остался бежево-песочный каркас безопасности.

Всего в фильме снималось четыре внедорожника Jeep Wrangler Sahara YJ — они отличаются бортовыми номерами 10, 12, 18 и 29.

Джип 18 появляется всего один раз — на нем персонажи Алан Грант, Элли Саттлер и Йен Малькольм — ученый, которого сыграл Джефф Голдблюм — едут от вертолетной площадки в основной экскурсионный центр парка.

Джип 29 точно так же везет Джона Хэммонда и Дональда Дженнеро — сперва из хелипорта в загон брахиозавра, затем — в центр.

Джип 10 гораздо позже, когда трагедия уже произошла, используют Элли и Роберт Малдуны, чтобы спасти Йена Малькольма, и именно на этой машине они эпическим образом спасаются от тираннозавра.

Любопытно, что машины 18 и 29, простояв более двадцати лет в голливудских гаражах, были отремонтированы, отреставрированы и снялись в продолжении фильма — «Мир Юрского периода», премьера которого состоялась в 2015 году.

Все четыре автомобиля оборудованы ручной, а не автоматической трансмиссией. Есть версия, что это было сделано для удобства передвижения по съемочной площадке и эффектных кадров с переключением передач.

Jeep 12

Jeep 12 was a Jeep Wrangler Staff Vehicle owned by Jurassic Park. Unlike the other Jeeps, it had remote controlled search lamps attached to its light bar and appears to have more interior options than the standard Jeeps, featuring automatic transmission.

Story

Jeep 12 was one of the many purchased vehicles by InGen for Jurassic Park.

It was the Jeep taken by Dennis Nedry during his theft of the dinosaur embryos. Driving in the storm, Nedry crashes into the East Dock sign. Later he loses control of the vehicle and ended up grounding it on a tree overlooking the road to the dock. Nedry was then killed inside of the Jeep by a Dilophosaurus. [1]

According to the Dinosaur Protection Group, during the 1994 clean up, Jeep 12 was found, along with Nedry’s remains.

Jeep 12 appears in the intro of the game.

LEGO Jurassic World

Jeep 12 appears in the game as the Jurassic Park Responder (Soft Top). It appears in the end cutscene of the level «Park Shutdown» where it is used by Dennis Nedry and has an identical role to its appearance in the Jurassic Park film. It can also be found in the Jurassic Park hub with Nedry stuck inside it. The player can pry open the driver’s side door using crowbar wielding character (like Nick Van Owen or Carter) to free Nedry, which earns the player(s) a gold brick and makes Dennis Nedry’s raincoat variant purchasable.

The jeep itself can be purchased for 50,000 studs like all purchasable vehicles in the game.

Jurassic World Jada Toys

Jeep 12 was made as a toy by Jada Toys as part of their toy line based on the vehicles in the film Jurassic World, even though it doesn’t appear in that film. It’s also missing its cloth top.

Paint vs Plasti-Dip

Once a section of plasti-dip has been damaged, the only repair option is to redo that section. The new plasti-dip may not match previous sections due to sun-fading.

Paint	Plasti-Dip
Application Skill:	Can be done both at home by spray paint, at home with an air powered paint gun, or by a professional shop.	Can be done at home with no equipment necessary.
Life Expectancy:	Paint life has many variables like amount of sun exposure, and quality of prep-work. Depending on level of application, it can last a very long time.	Most plasti-dips can fail after the first year. Once damage occures, you will need to redo the application. Also prone to sun-fading.
Durability:	Paint that has a protective clear coat can be very durable. As long as the clear coat is monitored and maintained, no normal damage should occure.	Plasti-Dip is very susceptible to scratches, nicks, and other damage associated with general wear.
Repairability:	If it has been damaged it can be repaired as long as you have some of the original paint. However it may be difficult to make the repair blend in depending on location of damage.
Install Time:	Paint is a very time-consuming process, and its final quality depends greatly how much prep-work was done.	Plasti-Dip can be installed on the vehicle in as little as one day.
Overall Quality:	Paint depending on the application, has a better quality over Plasti-Dip and provides a more permanent and finished look.	Plasti-Dip is prone to sun-fading, and low durability. However it is a good option for those who want a temporary look.

Consensus: If you’re looking for a permanent result, then paint by far is the best choice. If you’d rather have a quick temporary design, then plasti-dip may be a better solution for you.
While vinyl is another option, we do not recommend it for Jeep builds based on material cost, durability, and overall finished look.

      • Drill two holes to secure box to frame rails, and at least two (or four) to secure box to L-Brackets. Reuse frame rail hardware in conjunction with new hardware. Lock-Nuts recommended.
      • Tip: Cut and use a 2×4 to support box to find the right height for the L-brackets.
